My Little Green Piggy
Our friend Isaac's sister-in-law Jenny made this ADORABLE hat for Eleanor and I finally got around to taking some cute pictures of her in it today. I just love how it makes her cheeks look even chubbier!

New and Improved Feeding Time
Along with a new crib I finally ordered Ellie a high chair. We've been using the Bumbo but she kept trying to get out of it, so I figured it was time.
She seems to like it a lot, despite the fact she is strapped in pretty good.

On Her Own
I just can believe how fast Eleanor is growing up. We decided it was time to move her into her own room, so I finally ordered the crib that I wanted and put it together yesterday. I absolutely love it and I think Ellie does too. She did great her first night. I on the other hand had a much harder time with it. I know it will just take some time, but I miss having her sleep in the same room as me.

The Great Salt Lake
Eleanor made her first visit to the Great Salt Lake today. Like her mother, it appears she is not a fan of the Great Outdoors. She screamed almost the entire time. She did enjoy eating the sand, but I was pretty grossed out by it. In reality she just needed a nap but she has a hard time falling asleep outside- too many distractions.

6 Months
Can't believe our little Eleanor is already 6 months old! As cliche as it sounds, it really does feel like we just brought her home from the hospital. She is the most incredible little girl and I love being able to spend all day with her. She is growing like a weed. I took her in for her 6 month check-up on Monday and here are her stats:
Weight: 15 lbs 6.5 oz. 38%
Length: 26.75 in. 85%
Head: 42.5 cm. 60%
Check out how much she has grown over the last 6 months:

At 6 Months Ellie:
- Rolls both ways without any help
- Can sit up by herself for a few minutes, usually
- Giggles a ton with Daddy
- Loves to babble on and on
- Loves to suck on her toes
- Eats solid foods like a champ - twice a day
- Drinks 6 oz every 4 hours
- Sleeps 8-10 hours at night with a couple short naps during the day
- Looks more and more like her Daddy every day
- Wants to eat everything that Mommy and Daddy eat
We love having her as part of our family and feel so blessed each and every day!

Applesauce
Ellie loves eating solid foods, she has not been a fan of bananas or applesauce. We took this video of her tonight eating her applesauce. We thought it was pretty funny.
Big Girl Chair
On Tuesday night we went to dinner with some of my family and We decided to try putting Eleanor in a high chair for the first time. She still is a little small and has a hard time staying up, but she loved it!
Independence Day
We had a wonderful 4th of July spent with family and yummy food. In the morning I ran the 5K in Layton with my Dad, little brother Ben and my Aunt Judy. I think I did pretty well considering how out of shape I am. I even beat my Dad by a few seconds.
After the run we hung out at the park and watched the parade. Ellie was pretty tired, so she ended up sleeping through most of it, but she did enjoy the fire engines.
It was a pretty low-key day, which was really nice. We had a BBQ for dinner and ate a ton of great food. I made a few patriotic desserts that turned out pretty cute.

It was a lot of fun celebrating our country's independence with this little one!
