Easter 2014

I love Easter. I get to focus on and strengthen my testimony of Jesus Christ and share it with my loved ones. It is also a chance to celebrate spring and renewal. What's not to love about that?

Easter morning the girls came downstairs to their Easter baskets. Ellie was excited about the princess lollipops and all of the fun outdoor toys. I think Scarlett liked hers too. :-)

Eleanor trying her first Peep. It took her a while to warm up to it.

A quick photo after church. Love them!

After church we headed up to Syracuse to my aunt and uncle's for dinner. The food was so good! And of course Ellie got to do an Easter egg hunt.

The girls love spending time with Aunt Judy!

The Friday before Easter we dyed eggs. Eleanor really got into this year. Love making these memories.

Scarlett 6 Months

I don't have her stats yet, but she seems like she is growing fast. I think her biggest milestone is that she is finally sleeping in her crib in her room. She still cries for a while when we put her down, but the last few nights she has not woken up to eat during the night. It has made a world of a difference! She was was going to bed at 11 pm and waking up 2 to 3 times a night to eat, then waking up at 7:30 am for the day. I was exhausted. We finally started sleep training and I am happy things are going better.

At Six Months Scarlett:

- Rolls everywhere! She finally started rolling front to back at 5.5 months and a week later started rolling back to front.

- Eats solid food once a day, starting to do twice a day. Enjoys just about everything.

- Loves her big sister! She smiles when she sees Eleanor and loves to interact with her.

- Wears 6 month clothes and some 3-6 months.

- Finally started nursing every 3-4 hours this week instead of every 2 hours. Has maybe one bottle a day.

- Went on her first road trip. Two days up to Washington and two days back. She was actually a great little traveler.

- Met lots of cousins!

- Is still a very happy baby.

I sure do love her! Here are some pics from the last few weeks.

The Big 3-0

I am actually kind of excited to be 30. I have a beautiful family and a beautiful house. I am really happy. Now, with Kevin out of work our circumstances aren't ideal, but we have been blessed in so many ways that I can't help but be grateful. I got to spend the day with my family!

Kevin, the girls and I had lunch at Costa Vida because I had won some gift certificates. Yay for free food!

Then we met Scott, Kristen and their kids at Thanksgiving Point to go to the Dinosaur Museum. It was Eleanor's first time and she had a blast.

Then we headed back to the house so I could finish making my cupcakes. Scott and Kristen were very generous and gave us money for dinner and watched the girls so we could go on a real date. I decided to try Buffalo Wild Wings. It was good!

After dinner we headed back home for cupcakes.

I love spending time with family. We have been blessed with amazing parents and siblings that made me feel so loved on my big day.
