Everywhere Like Such As

I wanted to share a view videos that I watch on a pretty regular basis. I hope you all have seen this one. I personally believe that . . . this is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I'm pretty sure I have it memorized.

Watch Your Step

I can't even tell you how often we have watched this one.

You Can Take it on the Bus!

This is also an apartment favorite. You know you want one!

It Takes the Work Out of Your Work Day!

I hope that all of you have already seen this, but if you haven't, you need to. I nearly wet myself the first time I watched it. You probably won't think it's that funny, but I hope you will at least chuckle.

What's Your Love Language?

I'm trying to make up for being a slacker. So in my ward we have this Communications class for Sunday School each week. This past Sunday the lesson was entitled: What is your Love Language? It was awesome. We had to determine which of the 5 love languages we used and how we like to receive love. The options:

#1 Words of Affirmation

Verbal compliments or words of appreciation are powerful to communicators of love. These people need to be told they are pretty, smart and need to hear thank you, I'm sorry, please etc.

#2 Quality Time

Giving someone your undivided attention. These people need to feel the other person is focusing on them and willing to have a quality conversation.

#3 Receiving Gifts

Gifts are a visual symbol of love. It's not necessarily the gift that counts, but the thought that goes into it. The gift of self is also important to these people.

#4 Acts of Service

Acts of service require thought, planning, time, effort and energy. This shows how selfless the other person is, not matter how big or small the act is.

#5 Physical Touch

The body was made for touching, and these people need to have physical contact to feel loved or show love.

After listening to all these, I realized how high maintenance I really am. I'm pretty sure I am all of these except or physical touch. I can do without the touching. I think I show my love for my friends and family through Acts of Service and Words of Affirmation. I want people to show they care for me through Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Quality Time and Giving Gifts. Needy, I know. I think the most important thing to me is hearing the words "Thank you" and "I'm sorry." I think they say a lot about a person and can fix anything.

What is your love language?

Random Thoughts

Just a couple random thoughts:

Why must I hate all the things that are good for me? For one . . .the gym. I really don't enjoying going, but since I paid over $500 to go, I feel I must. I don't like running, and it's too hot to run outside. I don't own a bike, so that option is out. I bought a tennis racket a little while ago. Still haven't used it. But I did buy some cute pink wrist sweatband things. I do like the way I feel after I go though.

I'm really glad that all the good shows are over right now because I was watching way too much tv. Though I will admit that I am addicted to American Gladiators. I'm trying to convince Angela that she should be a contender.

The one thing I do like about running around Provo is smelling all the lilac bushes!! I LOVE LILACS!! Pretty much my favorite smell ever.

I love when you hear a song for the first time and you just fall in love with it. I think it would be so cool to be able to write a song like that.

I hate that I have such little confidence in my abilities. I know that I hold myself back from achieving greater things. Not sure how I am going to overcome this. Good thing I have some time to work on it.

Hiking . . .What was I thinking?

I finally hiked the Y last week. I vowed never to climb it, but finally decided to get it out of the way. The weather was nice and I was sort of in the mood to get some exercise. Let's just say that I forgot how much I hate hiking. If Angela hadn't been there to force me to the top, there is no way I would have made it. The view was nice, but I'm not really sure it was worth it. Here are a few pictures from the not so pleasant hike.
