Leonard Family Fun

Right after we got back from our trip to San Diego, my family started coming into town. We were still missing two siblings, but it was fun to have all nine grand kids together for the first time.

Scarlett and cousin Grafton, only two months apart.

Independence Day

Fourth of July weekend we spent up in Logan Canyon with some of Kevin's immediate and extended family. I am still recovering from all the bug bites, but it was a really nice weekend getaway. Kevin and Eleanor camped the first night while Scarlett and I slept at Kevin's brother's house. Eleanor had a hard time with all the bugs and dirt at first, but finally warmed up to the concept of camping. She didn't want to sleep in the tent the second night so she slept with me.

We watched fireworks from Scott and Kristen's on the 3rd and had a patriotic program the night of the 4th. It was great to spend time with family and see Eleanor play with her cousins.

Scarlett loves her cousin Kate.

Am I too young for makeup, Mom?

San Diego Trip - Days 8, 9, 10

Day eight my Mom got a babysitter for Ellie during the day so we could meet up with my Dad for lunch. It was nice to spend some quality time with my parents.

Later that evening we all headed to the movie theater to see How to Train Your Dragon 2. Both girls had a rough time and my Dad ended up watching most of the movie by himself while my Mom and I had the girls in the lobby.

Day nine we headed to the San Diego Zoo. Poor Eleanor was so worn out from our trip that she had melt downs pretty much from the beginning of the day. We didn't stay too long, but we did get to see some of the animals and take the bus tour.

Sweet baby giraffe was only a week old.

She didn't want to get near the statues until I told her they were toys. She was still a bit scared.

This hippo was pretty cool. Right up against the glass and gnarly looking.

Eleanor's favorite part was the Skyride.

Our last day we just relaxed around the house and packed up. My wonderful mother decided to fly back with us and I am so grateful! She made the flight back so much more enjoyable.

Thanks for an amazing trip, Mom and Dad!
