Goodbye, Tim Russert!

Obviously people die every day. Famous people die all the time, but usually I'm not affected. Heath Ledger was a difficult one to get over, and now Tim Russert has died. Most of you probably don't know who he is, but he was a political commentator for NBC. I am an avid watcher of "Today" and he made an appearance almost every morning talking about the upcoming election. Since I watch "Today" while I am getting ready, I don't usually watch, I listen. I had become very familiar with Tim's voice and I really enjoyed listening to his comments. I am usually not a fan of politics, but I seriously enjoyed the way he reported them. When I first saw that he died, I was seriously in shock. Even though I didn't know him personally, his death did make me stop and think like death usually does.

Life is short and death can come at anytime. As a planner, I hate that I don't know when it will come, but the good thing is that I can prepare myself on a daily basis. Not that I want to prepare to die, but I want to prepare myself to be judged on my actions here on earth.
